Ikea to open an Order and Collection Point in Mall Galleria Burgas
The biggest mall in the region sets new trends for shopping and entertainment
On 20 October the Swedish home décor and furniture chain is about to open their second in Bulgaria Order and Collection Point after last year\\\'s launch of Ikea\\\'s pick-up concept in Varna. The new one in Burgas will be very much alike the one in Varna in terms of goods and services, but on a much larger leased area.
Ikea opens a new Order and Collection Point in Burgas as a result of the stable growth of their operational store of the same concept in Varna. For the last financial year the company has registered in total 2,5 million visitors and 950 000 clients, as well as 18% increase in sales 12% increase in footfall, and 26% more clients that the same period last year, said Teo Muratidis, Manager for Ikea Bulgaria. According to Ikea\\\'s forecast, furniture market in Bulgaria will face a 4-5% increase on a yearly basis till 2020.
This is the first time Ikea Order and Collection Point opens in a shopping centre, in Burgas replacing the bankrupt Carrefour in Mall Galleria. The choice of location for Ikea\\\'s second largest store in Bulgaria comes as a result of the shopping centre\\\'s impressive performance figures and the efforts of the leasing department of the investor that owns and manages Mall Galleria Burgas - the GTC Group. Just for the last three months the best mall in Bulgaria has attracted few key brands, among which already operational are Ciela Bookstore, LC Waikiki, Central cooperative Bank, Intersport ( in September due to open are Ikea\\\'s Order and Collection Point and Collective multibrand fashion store), which made its occupancy freeze at 100% - an unachievable for most Bulgarian malls figure.
* In 2013 Mall Galleria Burgas was announced the best mall in Bulgaria by ISC\\\'s mystery shoppers. Recently, the shopping centre was awarded \\\"Gold Certificate\\\" by TripAdvisor - world\\\'s largest travel site. Tourists and visitors of Burgas have rated Mall Galleria the second best thing to do in the city after the popular Sea Garden.
