Mall Galleria Burgas welcomed its first visitors

The biggest mall in the region sets a new model for shopping and entertainment

Mall Galleria Burgas welcomed its first customers. As early as 9:00a.m. on 15 May hundreds of impatient citizens of Burgas waited for the opening of the modern shopping and entertainment centre in the city. They were greeted with „You are welcome!“ by the hosts - Shalom Mor, representative of the investor GTC Bulgaria and Simona Parvanova, Mall Manager. They stated their ambition to make Burgas much better place for living, which wouldn\'t be possible without the full support by the municipality they have been receiving from the very beginning.

„In times of crisis the wholesale investments are especially important for us, too. GTC opens about 1600 new job positions and this will help us manage the difficulties of the time we are living in. Burgas deserves such an investment. Slaveykov residential complex deserves a modern shopping centre, too. Already upon entering Burgas GTC claimed its social responsibility and it had already been proven – with afforesting of a new park, with sponsorship of big sports and cultural initiatives, with support to our most vulnerable fellow-citizens”, said Dimitar Nikolov, mayor of Burgas.

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony with inauguration was performed. Impatient shopping lovers were rushing into Mall Galleria Burgas where numerous surprises expected them - a lottery with 400 awards and all kinds of promotions by more than 80 local and international brands, present in Galleria.

Mall Galleria Burgas succeeded in making the day a real festival for Burgas. In front of the shopping centre Burgas instrument orchestra was playing evergreens, jazz and original movie soundtracks almost all day long. In the city centre the opening of the biggest mall in the region was marked with a splendid parade. Alive movie heroes announced that Burgas, which at last had a cinema, was the first city in the country to be the host of an exhibition with real Hollywood blockbusters props and costumes.

At 19:00hrs the official ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed in Cinema City\'s lounge by Burgas mayor Dimitar Nikolov, Sausan Hason – deputy head of the Izraeli mission in Bulgaria, Alain Ickovics, member of the Board of directors of GTC S.A., Muki Gredinger - CEO of Cinema City International and Sergey Gutnik from EBRD.

At 20:45hrs fireworks put the end of the majestic show for the opening of Galleria Burgas and made a start of the new model for shopping and entertainment in the city.
