The long-awaited opening of National Geographic\'s travelling exhibition Ocean Soul took place on 9 July 2013 in Mall Galleria Burgas. The exposition reveals the exciting and beautiful universe of the underwater world with the help of special equipment – sea tunnels with multimedia and over 50 photos showing beautiful views from the vast ocean depths. Bryan Scary, underwater photographer and diver, is the author of all photographs. Until the end of August citizens and guests of Burgas can see the beauties and secrets of the world ocean in the atrium of the mall.

Ocan Soul is the first out of five travelling exhibitions by the biggest international non-governmental institution for science and education National Geographic to be seen in Mall Galleria Burgas. The exposition is part of NG\'s global campaign at a trans-European level for preserving the world water resources and nature. Its first performance was at Stara Zagora, hosted by Mall Galleria Stara Zagora. The exposition is to be presented in four more European countries.

In the period September 2013 - February 2015 the biggest mall in the region will host the other four travelling exhibitions from the consecution of National Geographic, Danny Bercovich announced. The rights of all of them have been bougth by GTC - investor and owner of Mall Galleria. The next exhibition is NG\'s top 50 photos. The images will be selected by Chris Jones, Chief Editor of the magazine. GTC Bulgaria together with NG Kids magazine are about to start a long-term educational programme meant for children on the sea coast.

The opening of the exhibition is in support of Burgas\' application for Europe\'s cultural capital in 2019, specified Dimitar Nikolov. If this happens, a sensible growth of tourist flow in the region is expected, judging by the statistics for all cities that have been awarded this prize so far. The mayor also stated that the colaboration between Mall Galleria Burgas and the Municipality of Burgas in their capacity of hosts and organisers served as a role model for mutual care and social responsible partnership in the name of big causes for humanity.

To involve its smallest friends in the green idea, Mall Galleria Burgas has organized a children’s painting contest Leave your print in which kids had to draw their idea for a better tomorrow and nature\'s preservation. Over 1300 young artists took part in the educational initiative, and the authors of the pictures that collect the most likes in the on-line facebook voting were awarded personally by the official guests.

Host of the ceremony, which also turned into a great celebration for all children, was the popular diver Mihail Zaimov who is famous for his colourful photographs of the sea bottom. A huge visuall installation made of a random selection of kids\' paintings has been mounted in the atrium of Mall Galleria Burgas. Three more expositions on marine theme are hosted by the shopping centre: photographs by the Centre for underwater archaeology in Kiten, of the Bulgarian society for birds protection and Misho Zaimov’s exhibitions.
